A 100yr old dictionary, as well as most other books that age, are to be removed from a dead persons house as you root through their shit like a vulture. Leafed through to determine if it could possibly have any worth, and then either discarded if it has none or put it on a shelf until you get around to selling it. And, apparently, its handy to arouse the ire of people when you point out its existence. That last one I wasnt aware of, but now that I am...well I'll be goddamned if Im selling it.

And, Mr. Moustache, I was not that guy.

Eh, I wouldn't say I've returned, but it's good to see some familiar faces. A good portion of the beginning of the book happened on drunken nights posting to the old forums. Or the ideas anyway. Most of it was shit drunken rambling.

Maybe it's something about making a thread once a year to say "Hey it's me, mindflame, I am an oldbie, here is my novel, like it on facebook!". Maybe you have had a read of the forum to see who is still around that you know, and see how they're doing in their lives, but it kind of comes across like you're just dropping in to one of your old haunts to grab some facebook likes. And discuss how old everyone's dictionary is. I don't even have a fucking dictionary! I have four towers of VHS copies of Point Break and a bunch of CSI novelisations and no dictionary!

Hell, when an idiot finally tries to stand up for you and say welcome back you say you're not even back! I mean, Guest barely even understands the language of the humans but at least he's making an effort!

It really just comes across like crass self promotion. Which is not okay.

Except for when I do it.
