i am deeply saddened to hear that dennis has not even one dictionary to his name. i vote we take up a collection to buy dennis a dictionary. i have an old paperback dictionary around here somewhere (it's only about 20 years old but i'm sure that's at least 100 in hardback years) which i would send to him if i could find it. also a larouse french-english dictionary but it is prone to mold, so i really should get it out of the house.

of course then dennis would probably start reviling us in french and i would have no idea what he was saying, what with no longer having a french-english dictionary.

I think that's an excellent idea. Let's send him 5 20 year old dictionaries
Or 20 five year old dictionaries, so he can finally look up what "myspace" means

You're not supposed to divine the meaning at all!

I'll send him my links to dictionary.com and dict.org. I don't know how old they are, but they're the only dictionaries I have.

probably because he has no dictionary, so he has to derive word meanings from first principles.
