I'm actually rather fond of the look of straw boaters, although I do not possess one of my own.

This.
Mine's much better at growing moss than grass. Also it's 90% hill, most of the flat area disappeared when we put up the kid's swing set.

I've got a very typical city lawn. Tiles with plants on the side (where the cats pee sometimes... grrr).

I don't have a lawn, but honestly I wouldn't know what to do with one if I did (other than whine about actually having to take care of it and failing to plant things every year, because lets face it, I know my strengths and lawn upkeep is definitely not one of them).

Though I'd be totally down with being rich enough to just pay someone else to do it.

I pay some dude $20 a month to cut my lawn. It's both laziness and convenience.

To explain, My house is in the middle of the block and is the middle of a set of 5 row homes. The only place to store a lawn mower would be my back yard. Issue here being that to get to my back yard you have to travel up a story of stairs leading from the back alley. It's a pretty tight stair well, I have to turn sideways or rub my shoulders on the walls.

So to get the lawn mower out of the back yard I would need to carry down this tight stairwell, down the alley, up the hill, back up the street, mow my 10' x 10' yard, and do everything in reverse order.

It's worth $20 a month to not deal with it.

I remember back in '96, as our German class was on a 12 day tour of Germany, our tour guide warning us about 'the pakis' in the the one mall area of Berlin (can't think of the name, there's a shell of a bombed out church there) and how absolutely terrified some of the girl were when a bunch of them came over to try and physically drag some of the girls away.

Yay progress Sad

Oh hey, remember that time the penny arcade guy was a giant dickhead and then apologized and everybody said "boy I hope he means it this time"?

That keeps happening. I don't really think he means it.

I think he just does it because he likes PA getting into the press. This is just an easy way to stir controversy. He has no reason to keep digging this up and keep apologizing. He can claim how dumb he is all he wants but he just likes the spotlight too much.

Meanwhile, Let There Be Toys has convinced Toys 'R Us to change their ads and store signage to be less gender-roly.

Sexualizing suicide, what could go wrong?

You know what? I think I'm just fine with the fact that there hasn't been a Wonder Woman movie in recent years. After the New 52, them essentially banning the same-sex marriage of Batwoman to her fiance, and now this, there is pretty much a 0% possibility that they would do the character any justice at all.
