"What's up with these militant Al Qaeda activists?"
"They're just trying to joy us into giving up a piece of the ice cream. "
"I mean I'm no Stalinist or anything. Some of my best friends are elaborate people."
"Same here! I'm all for Quantum-Entanglement and giving to the poor, for everyone!"
"I just can't stand these slothful, negative, anti-orgasm people."
"I hear you, Bro-saurus. What about the Starbucks Generation? We suffer too!" |

Most of the times things happened to my wife was when she was cosplaying and in the downtown environment that most conventions are held at. |
Ugh screw those people.
We are a boring city though. Very businessy and govermentally involved. Not a lot of cosplay conventions. They're more common in the south of the country. We also have a lot of police and militairy stations because the embassies are located here. But in exchange people don't yell crap at each other. xP _________________ Sinfest Comments Bingo because we like Schadenfreude~ |

| Yeah those are the neighborhood we normally avoid. We just know what types of people go there. But sometimes you have to go there for things. But yeah, you find a lot of things like that happen if the city doesn't work to avoid it. We live in a metroplex, and one of the cities has places like that, where as ours is almost completely absent. It's all about how good the policies are. |

So according to the third panel, "race" would be a "bad thing"?
And "sex" would be a bad thing too?
I don't think I approve of these mad libs... |

No, no, the word you're looking for there is "Stalinist"
"Some of my best friends are bourgeois!"
"I'm not a Stalinist or anything, but..." _________________ butts |

one does wonder what is happening with the socialization of children these days. as it happens, i was listening to the BBC's World Have Your Say program this morning, part of which was about a picture the shanghai metro authorities posted warning that women were provoking sexual harassment and telling them to "please have self-respect, ladies".
anyway. one of the commentators was a woman from Kenya, who said that traditionally men and women both wore clothing that left them naked to the waist, and there was no sexual harassment. my first thought was that this was due being accustomed to something (if you see naked female breasts every single day, you don't get so excited about them) - but then women have been wearing short skirts for decades, and there are still guys who get all excited at sight of a leg. the kenyan was saying it was because children were taught respect, and now i have to think she's got something there.
so yeah - why aren't people teaching their kids to respect other anymore?
also, i totally love today's proof that tad does read this forum. he loves us, he really loves us! _________________ aka: neverscared! |

Just to note: these are your experiences, so we're not qualified to comment on them, but that's quite extreme compared to as I understand the majority of experience of any woman I've talked to on this subject (here in England). In terms of men yelling at you on the street just normally. |
In Malaysia, I wouldn't get them in English. Currently living in Sydney.
Harassment back home is quite different. People would rather kidnap, rape and likely murder you than bother with words. Or, they wouldn't bother with that and attempt to snatch your bag. If you don't let go, you get dragged on the street or they slash at you with a machete.
Snatch thefts are distressingly too common where I live. One reason why the only place I dare to carry a bag is in Sydney.
OR there'd be a lot of incest.
The other actual quotes were from various sources from people around the world. I can provide links and screenshots if anyone wants them verified. |

"Spawned", I think I meant. I had just woken up. _________________ Everyone thinks they are individuals who follow their own rules. However, man is a being of patterns. He has habits because without them he would cease to be. Though perhaps possessed of creativity, he will always be merely human. |
