I freaking love pen and paper RPGs. I'm playing D&D with a group right now. I kind of wish I had the time to set up my own fantasy world - it can get really complex! But I would love to GM one time.

Somebody mentioned this on tumblr as a book idea, but I think it'd work pretty awesome as an RPG campaign, too. A fantasy world where technology didn't grind to a halt just because magic and weird animals exist.

It's a fun idea. Steampunk incorporates readily into fantasy setting. Eberron actually has some elements of that (not to mention, say, most of the Final Fantasy games). (Also there's the self interest element of having DM'ed it for the past several months after playing for another year and thus not have to learn it/refresh my memory. So yeah.)

They even have Duergar (basically eeeeeeeeeeevil or dark Dwarves). Even better. I am a fan of the Goblins comic so I have a thing for 'monsters' being playable races.

Goblins, the comic, is indeed awesome. Goblins in Pathfinder are also awesome, especially since they seem to be Paizo's favorite race. They even have a bunch of flavorful feats, ranging from mediocre to pretty awesome (see: Roll With It). Not to mention they can be constructed for immunity to mundane fire, meaning there is no reason for a properly constructed goblin to ever not be on fire. I love that way too much.

So, uh, the Elder Scrolls has an forthcoming MMORPG, Imma trying to get in on the Level/Quests Design teams. IF I get in and IF get Alpha/beta invites I'll toss 'em out in this here thread to show love to my gamer roots. People not reading the gamer thread will miss out.

We could try and get together on a thread to create a Magitek RP with Yinello and someone else as GM and Co-GMs. Assuming we're going with a more organized system, we'd probably need two separate threads for discussions, and the other for the RP itself.
