So I've been avoiding the subforum for a bit until just recently. In my absence, was the "people swooping in out of the blue to tut tut a few regulars" still happening?

Apparently, yes. I'm new and I've seen a lot of new posters who seem to have joined exclusively for the purpose of arguing about feminism, with a rather incendiary tone. |

I've never gotten much into wax, alas. I've done it, but I don't care much for it. Being furry doesn't help. (And OMG liquid latex is a nightmare.)
Fire actually does require a lot of careful stuff, though you can do some cool things with fire for cupping. You still have to be really careful.
(Technically you need to be careful with electricity as well, but that's more general rules (nothing above the waist for things like TENS units, etc.) than anything else.) |

I see what you mean on the furry side, my wife always did like doing it a lot more than I did, mostly cause I'm also on the hairy side and she never really did realize how much getting chest hair pulled out sucks. As for liquid latex, dear God in heaven why would you try that if you even have a tiny bit of hair?

Because the concept is really hot. 
Unfortunately, at least at the time, the ghastly ammonia-based (?) solvent that keeps it liquid stank to high heaven while it was going from liquid to solid, which was even more of an ick factor for me. |
