Weird and funny detail: Based on the position of the computer in panel two we can supose that he turned from panel one to panel two, like if he was tallking to someone who was behind him on panel one.
Conlcusion:
Slick has an imaginary friend!
naah seriously now, i dunno why he did that, probably it doesnt matter. Maybe its just some cartoonist resource to enhance the reaction of surprise in a character. Maybe. Dunno. Im sleepy. Goodnight.

It's probably more like a 4th wall break. The implication in the comic is he's only doing this to earn respect from some kind of viewer. Since there is none the room at this time, his look at the "camera" we as the audience look at him through is used to create this same effect. It's one of the bits that really emphasizes the shallowness of the motivation he has for making that counter against Manly Man; that emphasizes he's not doing it for the sake of ending misogyny, but just to ward off social reprisal for the level of misogyny he has so he can keep being just as misogynistic as before without people getting on his case about it. |

Actually Tat just wanted to use the ultra-cool wallpaper; That Slick usually faces as he sits at his computer, as a background for the panel.
note: Huge Hefner has made the observation that women dislike being called bitches. Chicks is probably disliked too
