I'm in agreement with others that this strip is awesome. I love that there's more going on when you look at the last panel closely. I hope tomorow's comic is about Sam and Liberty.

I can't believe it, a strip with Glossy that so far, everyone seems to be behind.

Well here I am to restore order! Cause first thought that entered my head when I saw panel five was 'Aw crap!'
Because that means Big D's got big trouble, and we've got 3 new characters to get in a fit over -_-
I liked the last panel though. Maybe it'll provoke D or something. Maybe. _________________

| Did anyone else initially mistake Glossie's mask for some kind of 19th Century Russian hat? |

I kind of laughed at this comic. Mainly because a lot of the Glosse Posse ride bikes of some kind around, and a lot of biker gangs picked up the habit of doing charity events to help their PR and keep the public off their backs. They'd sell heroin in the morning, then dress up as Santa in the afternoon and deliver toys to kids. _________________ Everyone thinks they are individuals who follow their own rules. I'll admit when I saw the Stripper Poles and the Sisterhood, I thought "Not again!" But then I saw the last panel.
Well done. |

It's as I said.
There is nothing wrong with the Sisterhood as characters, it was merely how they were being used. Too arrogant sounding. Have to have them doing something constructive.
And here we have such a thing. _________________ "Cada uno es como Dios le hizo, y aśn peor muchas veces."

Protip dude....that right there?
That translates a little too closely to "know your place woman" and for the purposes of discussion it's the kind of phrasing you're going to want to avoid. |

This strip here....I like it. Everyone having innocent fun with the gift the Posse made for them. Plus it shows them not bein just preachers, they actually do something. This brings me back to when Curly rescued Squig & didn't ask for anything: They simply saw something that needed to be done about & they did it. Today's strip plus Curly's mentioned earlier proves that the Posse just doesn't go around talking a game, they actually do something. I have a problem with people, both male & female, that talk, but refuse to actually do something.
Also, Glossy is a welder. I've done that before. Not the easiest of jobs. Takes a lot of skill & patience. Who would have thought that she'd be skilled at what is seen as primarily a man's job? Which made me wonder & ask a few female friends why they think there aren't many female welders. They said for them it would be because too easy to be scarred by sparks & such, requires a lot of upper body strength, & that most dads encouraged them to take less "risky" work. They called their dads to ask why they weren't encouraged to take such jobs & pretty much they said that their dads didn't want them to work in such fields with back breaking work, little reward & too high a chance of perm injury. Even though had no problem if their son wanted to. The whole: Daughters get protected from the world, sons get enrolled into school of hard knocks. Also that women are supposed to get ahead by using their mind, guys from physical labour. Which kinda annoyed them, but they did think that their fathers meant well. _________________ It's time to prove to your friends you're worth a damn.
