She could also.. just be human.
Not that original I know but Originality is overrated. I wouldn't mind if Tat did go that way but I'm guessing the Greek thing would be the most Meh for you. |

I don't know how many of you have ever known any strippers for any length of time, outside of the club venue. I've known 2. One lived in the same apartment building I did when I was in the Navy. The other was my late brother-in-laws step daughter.
Oddly, they both had very similar life experiences. They were both very attractive young women. Both of them got pregnant in high school and dropped out. Both of them were left to raise a child alone when the young punks that got them pregnant dumped them. Both of them were very tough minded women.
I'm sure there are lots of stories and lots of reasons that a woman, or man for that matter, I've also met some of the Chippendale dancers, would go into stripping, I'm just sharing what I know about the only 2 strippers I've ever known personally.
I will add this, they both made damn good money. |

I never understood why you would leave your child and spouse. It makes me sad. _________________ Sinfest Comments Bingo because we like Schadenfreude~ |

The boys, (notice I call the females young women and the males boys in this comment) were just high school kids too. I'm not making excuses for them, just pointing out something I think is relevant to the discussion.
Also, in the interest of full disclosure, I used to have a rather extensive collection of tittie bar t-shirts, about 70 all told. It kind of started as a joke but when the guys on the sub heard about it they started buying t-shirts for me from local clubs in their home towns and from other towns they visited.
I had shirts from clubs all up and down the east coast, from Texas, California and even from clubs in Scotland and England. Shortly after I got out of the Navy the house I was renting burned to the ground and every thing my son and I owned was destroyed except for the clothes we were wearing and my motorcycle.
I had custody of my son because my wife was in prison. Yes, I've made some bad choices in my life. Who hasn't? |

I think the most offensive thing in this thread so far was the insinuation that drawing people in motion isn't a useful exercise, actually. _________________ butts |

| iskandar wrote: | cool study I remember reading about a while back and I just found it again. It was done in england by people at the university of leeds and they interviewed a bunch of strippers. Basically they found out that most of the stereotypes about strippers (poorly paid, abused people forced into it by need for money) aren't true. Here is the link to the sun's (yes, I know its a shite newspaper, but its shorter than reading the entire bloody study)
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3114238/Lap-dancers-not-just-pretty-faces.html
I think that sinfest tends to be highly uneducated about the sex industry in general, mostly just parroting a ton of stereotypes that fits the author's view. Note, I don't agree with the sex industry at all, but knowing the truth is important. The same thing applies to pornography, I am sorry but the whole "women forced to do it by the patriarchy" meme really is bull. Prostitution, I will not disagree at all, but Tat seems to avoid that strangely. I have represented enough prostitutes in court proceedings to know how much of a hellacious job that is and how much force is used, or at least used to be used a while ago, craigs list changed a lot of that. However, there are only really about 1200 active porn actresses at one time, if you are in the business its really because you choose to be. The jenna jameson book does reveal a lot of the negative side effects and I am not disputing that, but same with professional wrestling and other businesses like that even if the working conditions suck, there are so few people there and its so competitive, it seems strange to say its the only thing they can do or they are forced to turn to it.
If they needed a job, seems a lot easier to get a normal job than to enter into the industry. Or I am just a dudebro pig who doesn't *sniff* understand anyone.
additional links: (if you want to know why I have all of these, I always used researching sex and the sex industry as a way to distract myself back when I was unmarried and the temptation to have pre marital sex was too high, kind of have been keeping up with it for the past few decades, its really pretty fascinating.)

If you're going to link to studies you should probably actually read what they say before using them to prove a point. |

I hereby second naming the unhappy stripper "Bartholomew." Defy the meme, people! _________________ I am only a somewhat arbitrary sequence of raised and lowered voltages to which your mind insists upon assigning meaning |

| Very handsome, very well built. Oddly, they tended toward the short side on the height spectrum. |

You must be new here if you expected her to get naked in a Sinfest comic. _________________ Sinfest Comments Bingo because we like Schadenfreude~ |
