But she's dressed pretty much how she always was. She's not rockin' the androgynique look that much. Just the hair, I guess, and even that's really not that much shorter than it was historically.
Still, I give the comic props for bringing back the classic feminist dynamic of the strip, which was more opposed to Seymour's puritanical/social-conservative views than anything.
I give it 6 walruses out of 8. _________________ DON'T PANIC |

nice to see seymour back in prime form and a nique strip is always good, we barely get to see her now. _________________ Marriage begins with a man on his knees giving a woman jewelry and asking for permission to do something. Pretty much sets the tone for the next 40 years. |

Yes, I think I like this more than the tricycle people (I can't remember their name. I need to go eat now!!), about whom my jury is still out.
...
... the Sisterhood!! That's it. Okay, now I can go eat.
Very funny strip.

By the way, am I the only one who imagines:

This message has been brought to you by your local police department. Please, fuck the police." |

Brilliant!

Seriously though, what is with the hatred of police officers?
You think for a group of people whose job is to protect you from thieves, muggers, rapists, and murders... they'd get a bit more love and a bit less ahte.
But for some reason, everyone is always with the "hey! fuck you police! HOW DARE YOU RISK YOUR LIFE TO MAKE MY NEIGHBORHOOD SAFER!!!!" ...
I don't understand it. Is it the weed thing (Cause I blame Congress for that, not the police)? Is it the fact they won't let you drink and drive? Is it their mustaches? _________________ Warning: Nothing is without influence. |

I suspect a lot of peoples' hatred for the police stems from only ever having exposure to them for negative reasons (even small stuff, speeding tickets, parking tickets, if they were in a car accident, if they had something stolen).
For me, personally, the only police I've met have either been professional and indifferent or gigantic bullying assbags. Not particularly endearing. _________________ Samsally the Gray |

Well, I think you kind of have it already. Police uphold the law, whether the law is just, or unjust, and the law is always unjust.
And I agree with the awesome of Chast's statement. _________________ DON'T PANIC |

| So, if Seymour can just put on a hat and declare himself to be the police, why don't any of the other characters ever do that to him? |

| I want this strip framed and on my wall. Ideally, near my closet. I've been following the comic for a long-ass time and I've really got to say that I absolutely love where it's gone lately and I respect and admire Tatsuya so much for how he's changed and how public he's being about it. Keep strong, brother-man. |
