Just checking, because reading more than a single post of some drama queen trying to justify his/her exit really strikes me as a justifiable "TL;DR," but has anyone yet pointed out that Tat can (and very likely will) do with his own comic whatever the hell he pleases?
Also, how'd we get onto the tangent about names? _________________ I am only a somewhat arbitrary sequence of raised and lowered voltages to which your mind insists upon assigning meaning |

It's one of our more subtle forms of trolling. Veering really terrible threads as horribly off topic as possible. _________________ Samsally the GrayAce |

on the one hand, yeah the whining at times can be annoying, on the other hand I understand them. I mean, I have been reading sinfest for 6 years, I always read stuff during my staff's (all 4 of them) lunch break, especially webcomics, but he disappointment at where it has gone kinda sucks. It is his comic and he is perfectly fine to do what he wishes, still does not make it any better for some people who have come to really look forward to each new strip for several years and then faced disappointment as it loses a lot of its charm. _________________ Marriage begins with a man on his knees giving a woman jewelry and asking for permission to do something. I'm going to squeal with delight when he gets here! I should bake a cake. Not until tomorrow though, otherwise I'd have it gone by the time he comes, and you know it just goes right to my thighs. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. excellent: fitness and cooking is manly (not sarcasm, men 1- really do need to remain attractive, its a matter of respect for their partners and 2- need to learn how to cook, self reliance is important). good job getting into the spirit of it all. _________________ Marriage begins with a man on his knees giving a woman jewelry and asking for permission to do something. I doubt that would go over well with people in temporary jobs or menial labor.

It generally is encouragement to get a better job no? I mean.. it's called menial labor for a reason =(
Also- aren't people already defined by their job? When you're talking about a new person it's usually always "oh and then there's dave.. yeah he's a doctor" or
"this is so and so, she runs a company doing XY and Z activities"
Maybe it's different in other regions of the States... but people are very well defined and introduced by their jobs.. however subtle the play is. I don't think I've ever had a conversation with a stranger that didn't jump to "So what do you do for a living?" within 5 moves of the board. _________________ Warning: Nothing is without influence. |

Ah, but it misses the important question. It's not so much what they do for a living that matters, it's what they do. _________________ butts |

It might, but that is just how the cookie crumbles...
Even with your logic.. still.. how do we define Monique? or Slick?
Shall we define slick as: Creepy short guy who fails at picking up women constantly?
Squig: Porn watching drug addled obese drunk?
Monique: still not sure where to begin with this self absorbed rebel wanna be emo girl...
On the other hand, the side characters would be nice to define by the actions they've shown.

why are we still of the mind that what you are is simply reducible to what it is you do for a living and nothing else matters
i guess a thread conceived in stupid could only wind up in a different permutation of stupid but what the fuck |
