Or maybe he was just not interested in a romantic relationship. He cares about her, obviously, but at the same time he's not obligated to love her just because she loves him. And just because they're hanging out in the friendzone does not automatically mean they're not in a romantic relationship. Maybe they are dating, but you know, also see each other as FRIENDS too, maybe they're friends with benefits where the only benefits are hand-holding and sometimes kissing. Maybe they agreed that neither of them are actually READY to be in a relationship with each other just yet. This strip does not really confirm nor deny any of this things.
It's not demeaning for women to be in any relationship other than friends with men - what is demeaning is the implications that just because someone loves you means that you are obligated to love them back and be in a relationship with them. Because, you know. That's a really fucking shitty thing to imply. |

...So Kcils has been interacting with the other Sinfest characters for quite some time now?
Am I the only one under the impression that only Devilkin can see Kcils' horns and tail?
If so, then who's who these past few strips? Was it Slick, or Kcils still doing the mackin'?
PS.
I still ship Slick x "New-Devilgirl-With-No-Definite-Fan-Nickname-Yet"... She could be "the one"... God dammit, I just want to see the guy happy.

I dunno what the deal is with Devil Slick. I get the feeling I don't really want to know, either.
Anyways, I kind of want to see him get beat up by and/or saved like a damsel in distress by Glossy. So I think we're even in terms of who we'd like to see him hook up with. Sort of? No. Not really.
BUT! I could get into it? It'd be kind of cute... I mean, they'd both probably have to go through a lot of shit before it could happen - of course Slick has a lot of growing up to do in general before he's ready for a relationship and that's pretty much stated in canon so that isn't news to anyone. But. Yeah. I can dig it.
I'm definitely more interested in the idea of that than the idea of Slick with Mint. I wasn't too interested in her.
Would draw a doodle for you if I weren't going to play Sims 2 after posting.
(I think I'll definitely post something later for you, tho. Keep an eye out, baby.)

I think Kcils is making Slick act like that and only the Devilkin can see that he is being influenced. |

I think the Slick we saw earlier wasn't Devil Slick because he wasn't harmed by the Friend Zone, he just was bummed out by it.

Presuming one of those girls is Curly, that's 15, plus Glossy.
That too presents a perfect excuse to learn a bunch of names at once, since in some Sunday strip, The Devil could be reviewing his enemy files and call each Sister up on screen, one after the other, with names (maybe even role-playing-esque stats OSLT). It could be in smaller panels so as to take up only eight regular-size panels instead of 16. OSLT. But of course it's well-established that some of us are interested in details that obviously don't interest Tat himself. Shrug.
Notice that Monique isn't reacting at all to Devil-Slick. I think the implication is that she can't see or hear him. The Devil Stripper can, but the, for lack of a better phrase, Chaotic/Good-Aligned Human can't.
Which just opens up a whole new set of questions that we're probably never going to get the answers to. Sheesh. |

Seymour's put himself in charge of setting up signs now and then. Maybe he and Glossy will end up being in direct competition as to who can put up a sign at a given location first. That'd fill at least a couple of dailies, I'd think.
Of course I have to wonder if Crim returned before or after 'Nique and Fuchsia ended their conversation and parted ways, but of course I'll never know. Still don't know where Fuchsia lives now, but maybe tomorrow the strip will continue to follow Cerulean or Lapis or whatever her name is and we can see where she lives. Maybe next Sunday we'll even get an overview of the Devil People's neighborhood like the overviews of the "regular" neighborhood here:
