While the CONCEPT of the Sisterhood could easily be seen as originating with these strips, their M.O. is quite different. The Patriarchy-era Sisterhood certainly doesn't go around ridiculing dudebros by forcing them to play dress-up. |
It's been a few years in the interim. Obviously they've changed tactics since then. |

I just think Tats didn't have the idea of the Sisterhood then as they are now and retconned things for his convenience. Also this was waaay back when this strip had a lighter touch. _________________ I aim to misbehave |

Tender Loving Care. We use it to mean care and attention... Like "this house needs a little TLC," or "this park could really use some TLC." _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. It's not used very often around where I live, though. I've seen/heard it at least ten times in media but only heard it once (spelled out as T-L-C, I've heard it a lot more as a phrase) in real life. _________________ butts |

now i want a story line involving free trade in orphans. alien orphans, who will then take over the planet. and provide everyone with fuzzy knitted caps. _________________ aka: neverscared! |

Maybe they're different Sisterhoods.
Of course, gender-bending poor annoyed Seymour there could, indeed, be an interesting tactic by the current in-vogue Sisterhood. Though really, it's more the sort of thing that another group I can think of would do...
...
...
... I have to wonder how the current Sisterhood would react to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence or the Radical Faeries, actually. |

Their antenna are different. Orphantron has small round bulbs at ends, Coruptron are thicker & droop, Uranus are narrow & erect. Plus Uranus aliens are as tall as Gay Guy where the others are Slick sized. So they not look alike at all. _________________ It's time to prove to your friends you're worth a damn. Dyslexic man walks into a bra. BOOM, still funny. _________________ Marriage begins with a man on his knees giving a woman jewelry and asking for permission to do something. Pretty much sets the tone for the next 40 years. |
