nono, i quite understood this one
i just wanted to point out, that this whole discussion was meaningless in the first place. These kind of discussions will happen again, so i just wanted to give you an answer which stopped these kind of meaningless things forever(even though i made fun of myself by saying that it won't change a thing)
and my personal opinion was just my personal opinion, because i thing the "end of your discussion" wasn't a solution at all |

Alrighty. That still seems like an overreaction, because there was nothing happening that needed stopping.
It was a conversation. Conversations are good things. They involve running into the thoughts and ideas of other people. They make you think more deeply and broaden your worldview. They are not meaningless. |

heh heh...church bot. Good times!
Dont Fuck With Jesus!
EDIT- And now for some of my faves:
Angels - the expression when he gets shot is awesome
Good Christian - that's what we're here for
Bad Christian - bad image of christian belief really, not bad action on seymour's part
And most of the Sunday Comics, but especially Evil Chef, The Fall of Icarus, and of course Churchbot Transform _________________ Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. -- Frederick Douglass

So why do you want to stop THIS conversation now?(btw., the real way to stop me would have been to just be quite until i don't care about this topic anymore, lol) I'm doing what you said, running into thoughts and ideas, and adding my own so you may think about mine. Like i said, there isn't really a rule if the original conversation is 4 months old. And if it's true what you said about no need to stop it, that means it can't be stopped, that mean's it's still going on.
But my real point is:
I myself don't think that "no conversation is meaningless". Because, neverending discussions ARE meaningless, because they don't lead to nowhere. If there is a question, there should be an answer. And from MY point of view, this jesus discussion had no real answer.
To put it shortly: "Different opinions" aren't an answer for me at all. That is just the simple solution to solve a problem without solving it. "He just thinks different than me" doesn't work for me at all. A logical answer can be everywhere, even in religion and corret-human-behavior.
Seriously, what kinda END to a discussion is THAT:
| Quote: | | thought it over some more. It really boils down to the fact that I'm very spiritual about life and death, and don't like seeing either regarded with insouciance. The fact that Jesus died so violently and unnecessarily makes him worthy of more reverence than is displayed in the strip. |
