60 senators must vote for cloture in order for cloture to pass.
If the extreme majority of democrats, and a few republicans chip in, we could very easily see a cloture motion in this congress.
That being said, it will likely only happen once or twice. |

I've kind of given up on meshing the person I am off of a computer with the person I am on a computer. We virgos* like to compartmentalize our life after all. Same reason none of my internet friends know my rl friends who don't know my work friends.
*I don't actually buy that crap but for some reason that one aspect of lolstrology actually is pretty accurate for me. _________________

In fact it's exceedingly concerning to me that one of patty's facebook friends is actually the ex boyfriend of one of my facebook friends who I played WoW with for a couple of years.
Edit: not enough degrees of separation IMO _________________

I introduce everybody to everybody. Reasoning is: I'm actually ass at telling if people are lying scumbags or not, so the more people I know I can trust that know fringe friends the better.
One of my exes used the degrees of separation thing as an excuse to slowly and systematically cut out my friends. I'm not a fan. _________________ Samsally the Gray |

High school friends - Republican, sports loving, farmers/loggers
College friends - Hipster movie buffs, rpg gamers
Work friends/dads side of the family - Hippies and potheads
Adult outside of work friends - Dyed in the wool ccg/rpg nerds
Other parts of the family - Mormon
Sucks that your dude was a manipulative shit but man I absolutely cannot imagine trying to mesh people from these aspects of my life at all. Itd be a nightmare. _________________

Yeah, and it's totally your choice. Just a heads up if you ever get a significant other, it complicates things. I may only know internet-you, but I don't think you'd use it to manipulate on purpose. Didn't mean to come off sounding like I thought you would or anything. _________________ Samsally the Gray |

Ok. So if the Democrats have 54% of the senate, and they unanimously decide to pass a bill, and the Republicans filibuster it, can every one of the Dems:
A) unanimously vote for cloture, achieve cloture and get the bill passed anyway in spite of the filibustering?
or
B) not be able to achieve cloture even with 54% of the senate, thus not being able to pass the bill even if they were unanimously voting for it?
Answer this question. Say it is "A" or "B" — it is one or the other.
Answer this. |
Here's the question for you again Ember.
Answer the question Ember. |
Here ya go buddy! Answer the question ember. |

Since I gave you a couple reminders in other threads about your need to answer this question, thought id put it up on this page too...yknow...for your ease of access. _________________

My work friends are my RL friends. In fact, everyone I know right meow I either met through work or through someone I met at work.
You guys are the odd ones out. Do you want to meet my friends? We go out for beers every payday. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth.
