Valid opinion I guess but just because a band is no longer 'metal' doesn't mean they're bad it just means they become open to people with more varied tastes. I happen to like them because I like soft-rock and indie style bands and they fit in my playlist quite well with the Chillis but I do like other bands of all different genres. |

Right...so like the elevator music version of screamo music.
Yknow...all looking like a 40 year old amateur light jazz band assembled by those going through a mid life crisis in their videos. Singin lyrics designed to resonate with the angsty suburban youth. Lyrics all the same populist subject matter bands have been singing since the 60's tweaked to make their tweener fans think they're expressing something deep and profound.

Let me help you along. Alice in chains and Nirvana is probably all terrible as well. Stupid teenagers expressing their emotions is all just screemo and lame. Lets all just modify our musical opinion to match yours. Lets get rid of all the art which you do not deem acceptable. |

Just because you don't like a band doesn't mean you should belittle them. We all have our taste in music. The band is popular and successful. Just because you're a hipster and deem a band "mainstream" and bad doesn't make your opinion any more valid.
Music which appeases the most people shouldn't be sneered at. If it were bad it wouldn't be popular. If everyone liked the same music as you then you wouldn't be able to like your little nothing bands. |
