As long as the philosopher king doesn't have a bachelor in the liberal arts (like philosophy) I'm cool with it. _________________

I see the next angle on getting ID into schools!
This isn't really related to the GOP, except they're who I think of when I think of the War on Christmas. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. I read that. I was like, "dood, are you keeding mee?" If we can't have negative feelings about homosexuality than we can't have them about murder? Then he claims it's a reductio ad absurdum? Then that he wasn't comparing being gay to murder? Hard to have a reductio ad absurdum unless your two things are comparable.
Big bag of dicks. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. I’ll do anything to protect them from hurt, the human race is what I serve." - Baba Brinkman |

wait - what?
i'm guessing this is something scalia said?
......it sounds like i need to worry about how the prop 8 case goes. although i suspect i won't be at all surprised about scalia's vote. _________________ aka: neverscared! |

found this, in searching:
| Quote: | Scalia didn't discuss any issues related to specific cases during the Princeton Q&A, but defended his view that divining the original meaning of the Constitution is the best way to interpret it.
“The Constitution is not an organism; it’s a legal text, for Pete’s sake,” he said, reported The Daily Princetonian. “Unless you give [the laws] the meaning of those who enacted them, you’re destroying democracy.” |
so when we amend the constitution (thus changing the dictates of the founders) - we are destroying democracy?
i guess that means if we stop stoning adulterers, we are destroying religion. _________________ aka: neverscared! |

Yeah, because it's not like the founding fathers specifically set up the constitution to be changeable or anything. _________________

Yeah, it's Scalia on tour. Being Scalia. Comparing gays to murderers. Condescending to everyone that asks a question. Same old, just more dickish.
Also, if you don't regularly watch the Daily Show you should watch the clips here about the Bob Costas gun control kerfuffle. It is, as you can expect, terrific.
