| Sometimes more so. I love my cat but she's not very cuddle-friendly and bites when I try. It was much easier when I had my cocker spaniel (sadly had to be rehomed due to moving somewhere that didn't allow pets and then later moving again here where they are allowed) |

and cat lover that i am, i must agree that dogs tend to be better for hugging purposes. cats seem to need to initiate contact, and they don't always feel the need when you do. sometimes you can sneak up on them when they are sleeping and throw a blanket over them and then get in some hugs on the blanket/cat package, but you go through a lot of blankets.
