Isn't that the establishing shot of Mr. Burns' mansion on The Simpsons? _________________ 88 NPH |

But then one might argue that God hasn't been the good guy 100% of the time either. Depending on your take on the various negative things that befell man as a result of God's actions or inactions. |
Um, I'm not defending the church or anything, but you're wrong.
The devil only committed one sin, and it's the one Al Pacino references, and that's hubris, all other sin comes from that as well. He thought he was as good as God, so he was cast out. God basically said "know thy role" and down the morning star fell.
BTW I'm agnostic, these aren't my views. . .
BUT ANYWHOW, regardless of what you or I believe, you are quite wrong about "the Devil is only evil because the church says so, when in theory, he only has a "different viewpoint"" statement. His viewpoint is irrelevant to how the church views 'him'.
That said, if there is a God, he's most certainly a dick, kinda comes with the territory; an omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient being should most likely have bacon-necktie morality, or likely something even more incomprehensible. _________________

Applegate, like Watergate but with forbidden apples? I like it. He has plenty of aliases, though, there's no reason he cant use Mr. Burns, too. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth.
