Actually, I'd call this a sign of being sufficiently strong that she doesn't need to pretend she doesn't have emotions. She can get as emotional as she wants over TV shows and still be a strong independent woman. Shove that rock up someplace uncomfortable, judgemental offscreen entity.  |

Judging from Glossie's literary preferences, I could see this kind of thing being viewed unfavorably by them. They definitely wouldn't do this without making clear it was them, though. |

I think it's silly to try to identify or label the force behind it, but if I had to, I'd say that it's probably the same people doing all of the card-revoking.
