1. I thought the same thing actually. I thought it was a chick because of the distortion. Gooch made a good point on IRC that I thought I would reiterate here. Any of us could have sung that song and sounded "good" using distortion on our voices too.
2. I think the review started off good, then got silly, then got ridiculous, to be honest. First of all, picking Justin Timberlake an ex NSYNC boy band singer (no matter how much he tries to distance himself from it now) for your review into their song and lyrics seems like a pointless battle.
The general mainstream are going to like him, especially the girls, no matter what lack of depth, talent, or clue he has. So it seems like a waste of time.
Even for humor sake, if we had a penny for all the types of pop singers like him that try to sound cool or tough, we'd all be rich. Swearing in songs for a pop singer equates to being "rough" and not a goody two shoes that refrains or uses just the word "damn".
Picking something that happens all the time as your OMG WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS humor just seems redundant. Pop singers get made fun of all the time for this. So it's really not funny to me, and more like a one trick pony.

Which is amazing, considering it's published on a saturday.

Reasons to get up:
Monday - Drunken debauchery
Tuesday - Drunken debauchery
Wednesday - Half price day at the Greenwich picture house.
Thursday - Drunken debauchery
Friday - Drunken debauchery
Saturday - Drunken debauchery
Sunday - Read the papers.
For some reason I've always found it difficult to have much fun on a sunday. Probably comes from being raised catholic. _________________ "You cannot run away from a weakness; you must sometimes fight it out or perish. And if that be so, why not now, and where you stand?" |
