I think Glossy has a spare somewhere. Couldn't see her just blowing THAT ride up without some way to quickly replace it. Otherwise she's going to be slowed down a lot.

So what happens to the Year's walking stick each year? This one falls, and it seems to disappear, or otherwise be lost, shortly before the Year dies, each year (unless I missed a detail in a panel one year). Maybe it's the same stick each year, made from some immortal (or at least non-rotting) wood.

Does this mean that Glossy is now vulnerable? Of course she still has the Sisterhood and probably Nana to back her up, not to mention that she's probably trained with Nana.

I think this counts as "defying death". At least after the self-destruct was activated, he seemed to decide to go with it, so death didn't technically get the kill. XII kind of went out the same way XI did, in that regard, though crashing Death in the process may count for a bit extra too.

Fair point Miss M. I recall the there being quite a few of those trikes around (I can't find the strip, but there were a LOT of members other than glossy present. The largest show of force I can recall)

Not the one I was looking for, but gets the point across. Now, whether they have all the modifications that Glossy had before XII blew hers up on her remains to be seen, but SOMEONE is making those things.

I thought it was beautiful. 2010 was the coolest so far, but this ending was beautiful. I can't stop staring at it.

I find the yearly murder strips depressing rather than funny...it would be nice if Tatsuya showed the dead years entering heaven and having fun there, or at least if Death were somehow hurt of humilliated during the whole affair.

It pisses me how untouchable the Tatverse's personification of death seems to be. He is an unsimpathetic character that keeps winning and having things go his way year after year, and neither JC nor Big D., or Buddha, or God or the Dragon ever give him a lesson.
