How are they "pushing an agenda?" Turning one agenda off doesn't mean you're therefore turning another on.

I find the problem with this is that isn't this kinda the parents job?

Yes, it is, but not just theirs. We all collectively create the society in which we live, through our actions and inactions. So while it would be nice if a child's parents taught her that she had more choices than are commonly depicted in popular media, if they don't, or simply aren't around (like in this strip), then we can each choose to act in a way that promotes the societal mores we prefer. Right?

It mildly bemuses me how some people get so het up that they seem to forget that what we're seeing isn't the political belief system of an actual feminist organization. It's what one guy wrote and drew. These characters can't do or say or think anything that Tat doesn't decide for them -- doesn't command them -- to do and say and think.

Glossy's Sisterhood doesn't actually exist, okay? Get ahold of yourselves, people.

Sheesh.

On another note: Could what we're seeing on the screen be The Life of Fuchsia? That looks more like her than like any other known Devil Girl.

This forum needs a "Like" button. +1 for Ronald.

It's so funny that these feminist strips generate SO much forum activity compared to the average strip.

Succubus beat me to the punch fortunately, so I'll just say....some of y'all are silly. The messages in these comics aren't rocket science. It's like you go out of your way to misunderstand very, very simple ideas. Seriously, the message is in the freakin' title.

It's kinda cool that the sunglasses were explained. The Sisterhood was starting to look like those douchebags who wear sunglasses at night. Nice to know there's a reason behind it.

The problem with the design format is it implies those desires come from an outside source, which they might not. And that they are something that need rescuing from, which again, by themselves, they don't.

Unless its a deliberate attempt by the Patriarchy to dress it up as nice and desirable, which it could be, I'm not sure, I don't much care for the message I personally interpreted.

I think showing actual negative and often impossible standards that societies often hold women up to would have made the message a lot less ambiguous.

I've noticed that the feminist and gay community really hates the asexuals.
They are never mentioned. In fact, my spell-checker is crossing it out in red.

I believe that the good book should NOT be used to hurt people who need a purpose in life. It should be used to help bring everyone together instead. Everyone should be eligible for assistance in getting a job. If my parents didn't have financial problems and hidden personal addictions, they might have still been together. I really relate to Lil' E.

Plan ahead: Marriage is a mess of bureaucratic paperwork done by those in a hurry to get a: tax exemption, citizenship or immunity from taboo sexual activity. I would not wish marriage on my closest friends. My parents were unhappily married as a result of my birth.

This is the stupidest thing you've posted here.

I'll leave it to Samsally to explain why.

Oh my god I can't stop laughing.

Where did that even come from? How does it relate to marriage being a bad thing? What was your point, exactly? Just an excuse to hate on feminists or something? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS.

But hey, if you actually give a shit about people who are actually asexual, maybe you should pay attention long enough to realize that one of the more outspoken feminists on the forum is asexual?

Juuuust a thought.

Girl gets arrested and forced to undergo a psychological evaluation as a result of this comic strip.
Also Hello Kitty is a terrorist logo.

Is this just a poorly programmed bot or something? None of this stuff relates to anything that was said.

Yeah, this thread is going down the tubes. Better abandon it while there's still time.
Came outta nowhere, that post.
Made me smile though. For a split second I thought it was spam... OR IS IT?

As for the comic...
What would've happened if she got abducted by the tv? A patriarchy-esque poltergeist? It's too bad we might not see the capabilities of that TV ever again...

Not a bot, I'm just so mentally retarded that it's really hurting my ability to sustain employment.

If Fairy tales were accurate:

A shepherd boy tricked villagers by
telling them a wolf was after the sheep
when in truth, there was no wolf or dog.

After the second incident, he was relieved
of his duties and someone responsible took
this job seriously. No false alarms. End
_________________________
Two villagers discovered that they
had in their property a golden egg.
It was assumed that the goose laid it.
The egg was not food.

The goose and the eggs were quickly
confiscated by the authorities
under legislation governing the
mining and distribution of precious
metals and the villagers returned to
poverty but the King choaked on the egg.
His cause of death was classified.

If you are what you eat,
then don't eat the thin. End.
_________________________
In the fields, a ant and a grasshopper lived. The ant worked and the hopper played.

When the winter arrived,
the ant shared his food and shelter.
The grasshopper played music for the ant.
Everyone was happy and warm.
End.
_________________________
There was a foolish bird that had it's
head hurt by a falling acorn that
he didn't see. He thought the world was
ending.

Others being unable to explain the obvious and relieve him from his fear started
being infected by his insanity

Those with helmets started throwing money at him in hopes that they wouldn't
also get hit in the head from a "falling sky". When they still got their helmets
hit by acorns, they were accused of not
believing hard enough.

Were the sky actually falling, it
would quickly come to rest upon the
mountains of idiots that infect the planet.
End.

A rabbit and a turtle decided to race
and the rabbit pointed to the finish
line that was very far away.
Built for speed, the rabbit naturally
won. There was no contest.

The turtle didn't appreciate the mean
teasing words the rabbit had,
so he requested for a rematch
but this time, he decided the terms of
the competition. First one home wins.

The turtle popped into his shell first
and rolled away. This means the rabbit lost. He never heard or talked to the
mean rabbit ever again.
End.

Of course not, Mikewee777 said it. He rarely says anything that makes sense; why does anybody reply to him?
