We used the dining room table and chairs. We hung bedsheets from the top of the table to seat of the chair, held in place by encyclopedias (we had a whole set, so there were plenty), and lined the chairs up so you had to crawl between them in a kind of foyer to reach the table. It made for a roomier fort.
