Holy crap there are names what am I even reading?

On another note, that's a kinda inefficient password system. I mean, what if something was chasing her? I last seven seconds to read it, reciting from memory would probably take ten.

"My voice is recognizable enough" would do the job better. Shorter and just as non-deductible.

...Also easier to remember I guess but who cares about that?

WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?!

I must be reading the wrong comic. Tat doesn't give names to his characters.

I know what you're getting at
but seriously
any reasonable person would care more about the names than the password

Not usually. Reading requires more systems (it's both a complex task and evolutionarily young, so it taps into wide areas of the brain, plus in comparison to recalling from memory [for which you don't need your eyes] it just has more parts that have to communicate). Recalling from memory is easy in comparison. You can try it. Recite the pledge of allegiance or sing happy birthday as fast as you can. For most people it's considerably faster than reading a line or two of text (especially if it's novel or uses complex words, etc).

Xanthe's been around a while. I don't remember Tess specifically.

She could be in 2012-07-15: Playground, if she's the one with the pink hair.

See also 2012-11-25: Day In The Life 15 (Nana's Day in the Life). She's in the photo at the end.

So that's two whole panels I can remember of her, both in long quasi-wordless Sundays.

And the new names have not been added to the back archives yet. Today's is the only result for "Xanthe," and there's one other, rather strange result for "Tess": 2009-11-26: Bachelor Cooking Show 5

Tat is weird, man.

If you really wanted to construct a list of the pillars of male privilege, pornography and prostitution wouldn't even rank. They wouldn't even vanish as a result of complete gender parity in society, soooooo

Well, let's get started then, shall we?

I got no problem with eliminating prostitution. That's just wrong on all levels.

But porn... Tough call. "Sexual Perversion," more likely. Too many levels of industry involved. Not all operate on the same principle. Worthy of discussion. Heated arguments likely unavoidable.

...I'll stop talking like Mordin Solus now.

She also appears in this strip, and this one.
