He doesn't use hair-gel anymore. Stopped when he (tried to) break off the "Deal with the Devil"-thing...

On another note, 'Nique is treating Seymour in a basically friendly way, showing that, as long as he's not getting in her face about something, he's pretty much okay by her.
The strip used to convey the same impression about her and Li'l E ("Ehh, sure, he's a jerk, but he's a basically harmless jerk, doesn't cost me anything to be nice to him."), except that IIRC she hasn't seen Li'l E in over a year (admittedly, that's real-world time) and she apparently has no idea that he now has a much less contentious personality (unless I'm wrong).
I think characters used to communicate more back when Sunday strips had dialogue. Since that went by the wayside, everybody's just grown further and further apart... |
