I like the term cis because it makes me think of chemistry, and I imagine transgendered people are just like me, only folded differently.

the internet is so fucking ingrained in to life, is it that hard to comprehend we have access to it all the time? Like, I can post on the forum using my phone on the bus home from work while also reading a book.

I may have, I admitted to having not read anyting other than the first couple posts made shortly after making this thread and a quick perusal of, what was at the time of my post, the last page of the thread. If you say it's out of context then I'll take your word for it as I never bothered to try to find said context. As I still haven't read this thread and thus 'your context' I said by what I said as I can think of few situations where such a comment wouldn't lower the overall level of discourse. When I do read it, and if I am wrong, I will offer you a full apology. (such comments are rarely productive and even more rarely not offensive, so we'll see after I have time to read this thread in its entirely later this morning.

well, the answer, clearly, is to expose yourself to the experience, i.e., hit your toaster with a hammer.
but just a regular hammer, that which you have pictured is a sledgehammer. really, one blow with that should have taken the toaster out. and unless kath is a miner or something, i doubt she has a sledgehammer. just your usual claw hammer. (although if she had a ball-peen hammer, that would just open up the comic possibilities.)

In that image I was picturing her more kind of poking with the hammer than full-on swinging it.
And that's a pretty small sledge, maybe 3-5lbs. Not really something you'd see a miner with.
Actually, it's more of a lump hammer than a sledgehammer. Maybe she does some light masonry work-- as a hobby, perhaps.
Also, I do have some experience smashing things with sledgehammers, and I'll just say that I wouldn't be all that surprised by a toaster that could take a bit of a beating from a hammer of that size.
