You know, it occurs to me that there ARE action-heroey types in real life (without the "I HAVE A PENIS" bits, perhaps), in that if you made a movie of some of the things they did, most people would assume you were making shiat up.
Granted, most of those action-heroey folks are *Gurkha's*, but still.
Like this dude, at 35 year old man who fought of forty armed (some with GUNS) train robbers with a kukri.

If people made movies of this guy, or a few others, would we assume they were patriarchal action movies because they were "Manly men doing things that were deemed manly"? _________________ "No, but evil is still being --Is having reason-- Being reasonable! The problem is, I think, that even if we use real 'badasses' the movie will probably still come out as a typical action movie.
There would probalby be all the typical tropes related to this kind of movie.
The movie probably wodn't show us that the protagonist is areal-life action-hero, but it would show us that the protagonist is a real-life action hero because he is a man.
As a side note this discussion remembered me that it has been a while since I have gone looking at the badass of the week. There are lots of stories about women who did things that would put even the biggest action hero to shame. _________________ So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure;
