Yeah, you are probably right, it would remain funny like that.

But the context right here is what makes it hilarious.

What did I miss that this is seemingly a response to?

You're right -- my analysis was off base. All that's true is that Sinfest is much less about religion these days. But I liked it when it was about religion and when it was written in the spirit of Calvin and Hobbes / Charlie Brown. That was cute, and I didn't feel like I was at the butt end of the jokes. The reason I don't like the feminist arc is because I'm not sympathetic to (this kind of?) feminism -- that's what I should say if I want to be honest -- and now I am on butt end of the jokes. Poor me, I guess. :p

So I'll just say it, you got me. The rest is long-winded ranting. (Or isn't that what you call "mansplainin'"?)

You are either applying a really strange sarcasm or have a brand of humility that's not often found in people. Congratulations.

I'd send Tat a marriage proposal if it wasn't so dang creepy. I'll just love the comic instead.

I'm not even a frequent reader of the forums (maybe a couple of times per year), and this comic still thrilled me up and seemed incredibly relevant. It makes me wonder if the artist reads the same skeptic blogs that I do.
Poor man feels.

I can really think of better ways for Tat to spend the week than on this theme. Oh well. As ever, not like I'm paying for it. Wink

Speaking of which, in the past I've offered money if he'd act on this or that suggestion of mine, so I'm not sure how often he reads the forums. Or maybe he just doesn't have a Paypal account.

What will happen when Sliks tells the police that Xanthe took his "man tears" without his consent? Smile

Maybe we will see another chase scene where Xanthe's new trike will be put trough its paces.

Or maybe he isn't a sellout (or, according to Tat, he's stopped being one)

Very good comic.

I guess it'll lose some value in the future for readers going through the whole archive of Sinfest that don't know what was going on in the forums. But today that really, really good.

Right? I'm still giggling. Every time I try to think about something else, I crack a smile.

I really like the little bit where 911 actually considers misandry to be something of note. The patriarchy at work?

I was reminded of this strip but then I checked and saw that Squig hadn't called, specifically, 911.

Was this like "OMG TAT I WOULD PAY YOU TO DO THIS THING" open on the forums or was it like, sketchy underhanded e-mails like "Hey.. hey Tat, if you do this, I've totes got some cash that has your name on it."

Because one is just silly and I don't think anyone would take it as a serious offer and the other one is hysterical.
