To be honest, I think they are already that. |
Be careful, your in danger of calling them Gary Stu's.
Edit: Correction they are already on the list... ... |
Mary Sues (Heavens! It is gendered!) -- no. I don't think that they are Mary Sues. They are transparent editorial vessels, present when Sinfest has become transparently political on the subject of gender issues and feminism.
Which I consider worse, for entirely selfish reasons. |

The one with Lil Nique and the Patriarchy shades, a man was saying that he was sad that moniques personality changed, but the shades said he just wanted her to "Shake her ass".
No defense, just a direct "true intention" idea that means that the Sisterhood actually knows what men actually think, no matter what they might say. _________________ The misogynistic autistic fapping goldfish. |

| Being political is a good thing. It means you're invested in the world around you. |

That example doesn't apply. Lil Nique isn't using her own view of what men think. The Patriarchy Blockers translate for her. It's already established in the Sinfest universe that those glasses can decode Patriarchal misdirection.
It's not an inherent quality of females in the strip, so no female superiority is suggested there. |

I still think they're "truth glasses" not "mind reading" glasses, akin to Wonder Woman's "Lasso of Truth."
Obviously both the Lasso of Truth and the sunglasses passed around by the Sisterhood are magic devices, not realistic ones. Although the mechanics might be interesting to debate, ultimately I think the answer is just going to be "it's magic."
I doubt Tatsuya is trying to say that male minds are easy to read or anything... Somehow the glasses just know. If you object to their use as a plot device, that's fine, but trying to argue that Tatsuya considers women to be the superior sex as we're all mind-readers is just silly. _________________ Deviant Art | Twitter | Tumblr |

Oh, sure I do. Models get paid for a job well done. Hamburgers get eaten IF they are lucky. _________________ Welcome to the Sinfest forum! The only place where you can find a > 30 pages long discussion about sentient toasters! |

i guess this explains why the hamburger one actually works on you |
A weird thought occurred to me. Chances are, if you see a billboard, magazine, or some other form of advertisement, with a model or with a cheeseburger, there's a good chance that they are both generally fake as fuck. We live in a sad, sad society in many subtle ways.
It's sad when we have things like this: http://www.zimbio.com/Cindy+Crawford/articles/2hehHy3Dlqs/Cindy+Crawford+says+wish+looked+like+Cindy
Or this (which has the subtitle of 'Fancy some motor oil, spray deodorant, and shoe polish with your dinner?')
http://www.pixiq.com/article/food-photo-tricks
Some of my favorites include:
| Quote: | White glue, used instead of milk for cereal photos and for pie repair (that would be the pie actually filled with mashed potatoes, where a serving-sized piece is cut out, with the resulting opening’s edges slathered with lemon custard or rhubarb-strawberry filling).
Motor oil, as a stand-in for unphotogenic syrups
Spray fabric protector, to prevent the motor-oil syrup from soaking into the pancake, which has bursting blueberries artfully pinned to it in an aesthetically pleasing, yet random, scattering (still hungry?). |

Which brings me back to seeing news about Gilberto Valle's trial, which combines porn and food in an exciting and different way. Sort of. |
