The whole porn exploitation issue could probably be solved by setting an older minimum age for the stars. Its not like finding 18yo guy with 35 yo woman porn is easy to find, so why is the opposite standard? But why raise the age? Try convincing a 29 year old to do something stupid... then try convincing an 18yo... this is why kiddie porn is illegal, children will always be victimized in such a relationship.
Do people pay many 18yo atheletes 10 mil anually?? Why is it a different standard for athletes vs porn stars? Both rely heavily on conditioning and talent, so it seems the desire is not to watch elite experts screw, but watch girls too inexperienced to know better get abused. The messed up thing, some guys start thinking the fucked up movies they download are normal!  reminds me of the fiance character (the man) in Crime and Punishment. He eventually realizes how messed up his obsession with 'moldable' young girls is and kills himself. Love is blind to age, but you cant sanely abuse someone you love. I dont think some people grasp that abusive porn is damaging to the viewers soul. |

You assume that age is equal to experience, and that lack of experience is the only reason someone would go into the pornographic business. Also, you get into messy territory when you begin telling people who are of legal age of consent what they can and cannot do with their bodies.

I'm pretty sure that there is a pretty big difference between porn stars and professional athletes. A porn star sells their body and looks, an athlete sells his or her scorecard and reputation. Also, they don't pay "many" athletes that much money, regardless of age. Overall, I'd say it's safe to assume there are a hell of a lot more people working as porn stars than professional athletes.

You can certainly abuse someone you love. The Cycle of Abuse ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cycle_of_abuse ) is a well documented theory that shows a cycle of abuse and reconciliation, flipping from beatings to remorse and displays of affection. Also, actually abusive porn, in which someone is abused against their will (not the same as agreed-upon and relatively safe BDSM) is illegal in almost all civilized countries. BDSM, which I am assuming you mean by "abusive", is not my cup of tea, but as far as I know a lot of people practice it safely and enjoy it. Your use of the word "abuse" could probably be more accurately described as "exploitation".
I don't think anyone here would disagree that porn can harm women, but raising the age limit to participate probably isn't the way to deter it. There's a hell of a lot more to it than "She's too young to know what's happening". Like perhaps the fact that women who go into porn tend to be desperate for money, and it's between pornography or prostitution if you are unable to find a job.

| I don't know if it was pointed out in other comics or not, but it seems the readers see this black character as a female. I was kind of hoping she/he was a male solely based on the fact that a male fighting against pornography would be kind of refreshing. |
