Does this mean Seymour read 50 Shades of Grey? _________________

This is a great book and I don't understand why liking it has been stigmatized. _________________ If at first you don't succeed [in persuading or explaining something to me], then try and try again.

Still, I would have expected Jesus to be absurdly shaded. It would have been a good touch. _________________ Welcome to the Sinfest forum! The only place where you can find a > 30 pages long discussion about sentient toasters! |

Based on the second panel, I'd have expected some bdsm-type stuff _________________ If at first you don't succeed [in persuading or explaining something to me], then try and try again.

| One might hope that Seymour's been following the news and has seen, in the person of Gilberto Valle (look him up if you like), just what can happen if you take your fantasies to extremes...and someone finds out. |

You can't coexist any type of Feminist or Egalitarian leanings and like "50 Shades of Grey.
If the puerile writing wasn't enough, sexual slavery should set you off. I understand that this may be some form of fantasy fulfillment to some, but if consensual photographic pornography is wrong: so is that series.
Interesting note: 50 Shades of Grey has been rumored to have started out as Twilight fanfic. Which makes Semour's dream of 50 Shades of Jesus after reading Jesus Fanfic even funnier. _________________ **Goes back to hiding amongst the shrubbery** |

Yes, and...?
If I noticed it at the time, I forgot about it in the interim.
The trial only started this week, though, and I noticed that.
I'll be surprised if they find out it's anything but "perverted" fantasy. It is illegal that he used a govt database as part of that, though. |

Salpta, even BDSMers hate 50 Shades. It's a horrible, unrealistic depiction of BDSM that follows none of the safe practices normal in BDSM. There have been numerous articles about this from Dom/Sub blogs. The author admitted that she knows nothing about BDSM, and wrote a book about it anyway. This was probably a bad idea (indeed, it's rather irresponsible), since the relationship described in the book in no way fits the usual kink creed of "Safe, Consensual, and Sane" and some of his restraint techniques are potentially dangerous and rejected by the community at large.
