Haha, this is actually why I decided to start giving my cats a bit of tuna once a week as a treat. I feel like eating the same thing every day would suck a lot, and it's supposed to be good for their coats.

I wonder: Do Pooch and Percy really talk or what we see is Tat imagining?

When I got my kitten from the pound I was absolutely prepared that he'd be superpicky with his food. I'd heard all the stories of cats refusing to eat this and that. Turns out my cat will eat anything, from the worst garbage dry biscuits to salmon. While this is great, it's always a challenge to not forgot to leave food on the table unattended.

I give him chicken livers and chicken hearts - much healthier than the canned crap in our supermarkets (cheap too from the local butcher).

I assume Tat has pets, and this is just him poking fun of them.

I'm thinking about doing the same for my doggie!

i give my babies variety of canned food (with dry always available), but i feel like i should give them something more natural. i think i'll start scouting out chicken innards - we'll see how that goes. they do sometimes get a bit of fresh tuna (when i have it), and fred loves lobster, but that is _not_ going to become a regular dietary item.

of course, my problem is not so much with what they catch and eat as with what they catch and release (inside the house).

Kjralon: I am not well versed in doggy diets but I bet it would be just as good for them as it is for kitties. Plus considering the weird stuff I hear about my friends dogs eating and being fine with I doubt it could hurt, lol.

mouse: I can't even be assed to buy -myself- fresh meat, the kitties are just gunna have to live with tuna in a bag (I'll at least spring for the stuff that won't taste like a can.)

We have a dog and two cats at home, and as far as eating goes we have an understanding.

Dry food is the mainstay of their diet and jumping onn tables to get food is strictly forbidden but if something falls to the ground it's theirs.

It seems to work, we can leave whatever we want lying around and nothing gets touched. Except for ketchup, they seem to love the stuff, I don't know why.
