Hey, I make beer, meat, AND fire! There is nothing wrong with liking those things! T_T

I also make spinach quiche, banana chocolate chip pancakes, nutella lattes, homemade rosemary olive bread... those things are also amazing. ^_^

...well, I'm crocheting while reading this thread. So maybe I should turn in my dudebro card?

Unless I obfuscate by saying men invented the arts of knitting and other needlework, and only passed it off to the women folk when there were more interesting jobs to be done by men.

i have a book on knitting folk socks. it says that in one of the scandinavian countries (i forget which one), men and women both work on socks. the men do the cuffs (all the pretty decorative stuff) - and the women do the feet (i.e., the tedious stuff that takes real knitting).

crocheting?

crocheting?

yes you absolutely should go hand in your dudebro card. actually wait this needs more specification. you should pirouette en pointe on your dainty little pink ballet slippers through the loufa section of Juicy Coture while listening to Abba with earbuds that have little rainbow bows on them that won't clash with your paisley pastel pigtail ribbons and flower-button overall skirt while gossip girl plays in the background to teasingly slip your man card into the return box with diaphanous grace, all the while a-tittering with a bonny cadence.

I will be over here, where I will catch myself looking at your ass for even just a split second, and react with such profoundly fearful self-disgust at this non-heteronormative moment in my psyche that I will immediately rage out, beg the lord Jesus for forgiveness, raft up an alaska river to build a deck to fight a bear on in lumberjack plaid while smoking unfiltered reds and talking loudly to everyone in range about all the sex I have with girls who know their place in society, which will prove how totally secure I am in my masculinity.

Do you use beer for shampoo? And dry off with a leather towel?

I guess I have to, then. But I can use this to my man-vantage by picking up the hot girl peoplez who want to hang out with gay men. I am given to understand that if I pretend to have emotions and concern for my appearance, they will all simultaneously flock to me for friendship and to attempt getting into my (very striped and well coordinated) pants.

(For serious, though, I am sitting here in pink and blue sparkly star pants. Right next to a rainbow flag.)

Maybe we could get cookie sandwiches if we pretend we respect them?

I'd bring up my actual complaints against this 'feminism,' but that's not a particularly fun conversation, nor is it particularly productive, nor, I suppose, is this rather silly thread the place for that, and I'd probably feel compelled to list things I see as merits alongside the complaints anyway.
