I'm wondering if there's any way she can remember that The Devil devilized her.

Nope, not really. He was several feet away and never got any closer. If she remembers anything at all about her first few minutes of "existence", it'd be this:

A scene which went absolutely nowhere, btw. She doesn't seem to have retained any Slick traits or 'Nique traits.

Actually, I kind of always assumed her silly personality was due to the intervention of Slick and Nique, and she wouldn't be so carefree if she'd been left like she was immediately after bomfing.

But prior to that, all she did was growl. So the water must have done her some good.

Of course, there's never been any explanation for why Pebbles was "born" in a growling feral state in the first place, when no one else we've seen devilized by The Devil has been like that.

Nor will there ever be one. I've accepted that. Wink

Well! I can provide an explanation of sorts! Mostly via theorization based on established fact, but still.

Since according to Blue bomfing releases the inner evil, it'd likely bring forth any repressed emotions and desires within a person that correspond to any of the seven deadly sins to the surface. And since we know what devil girls look like when they're just angry, as we've seen Blue and Fyoosh look quite similar to that quite a few times, I would assume that those two factors could possibly mean that Pebbles could have been repressing some serious rage issues prior to being bomfed. And thus, when bomfed, she is in a state of devil girl brand wrath similar to that of a feral cat. Because all that repressed wrath had been let loose due to the effects of the bomf. And then of course Slick, Nique and Seymour's combined efforts all seemed to have... calmed her down, so to speak.

*thumbs up*

As for the inability to speak thing... I don't really have a clue. She was able to speak in her first sunday strip. Not really sure what could have happened to cause the speechlessness. Maybe it was the fact they tried to zen zap her at all that did it. Maybe she made a trip to the lethe sometime off-screen. We'll never really know what the deal was there, but at least the growling feral state in general could be explained. But that does kind of remind me how I kind of liked her better when she only growled and hissed like a cat... I still love her and everything she's come to be, but I dunno... kinda liked how angry and snappy she seemed...

I like how, despite of making fun of him as a character quite frequently, Tat reminds us from time to time that You-Don't-Mess-With-Big-D...well, unless you got a Kreeptonite bomb, infused with angel-dust.

Anyone else hope that Pebbles eventually regains her old self, but is better for having gone through this "bomfspringa?"

I hope she gets the option to go back. Then decides having super powers is too awesome to give up.

That'd be awkward. Y'know, "I have a brother/child/whatever now?".

Oh, I do, too. I don't want her old self to override her new self. Just to be part of her again too.
