Considering they're all chibi-fied, I simply consider Crim to be short. (There's also a few comics where he's more "realistic" and he didn't look like a kid at all)

It's probably all ones. It'll turn out he's only holding about $50.

Well, thinking about the worst case scenario he's holding around 2cm's worth of money. If every bill is 0.1mm thick it's at least 200 dollars. Still a generous amount for a commission.

...While I can' think of any practical reason, carrying $200 in 1 dollar bills seems to me like something he would do.

Depends on how long it takes her to do it, and what size he's asking for. Her wage needs to account for how long it took her to learn her skill, how much materials cost her, how much time it takes he, and how much she has to pay in fees (Taxes, advertising, etc). The US government recommends $25 an hour as the starting wage or artists.

The picture she made of Crimini is about half her height.
http://www.sinfest.net/archive_page.php?comicID=4578

Assuming she is at least 5" tall, the picture has to be at least 2.5 feet/30" tall. That's a huge piece. I'll ask at my art group later today what they would charge.

Another thing to consider is, if you are starting to sell art, you don't want to work with people who don't respect your boundaries. If you have said no (For instance, if they ask you to draw a fetish that you are uncomfortable having in your body f work, or if they hound you unreasonably) then their money isn't worth it.

If he's a business owner or something of the like, the stack of ones is not unlikely. Lots of people pay in ones. I know. I get to count them when putting the money in their business accounts....I cringe when I see a stack of ones. I often see them come in for grocery baggers, dispensing machine owners, church deposits.

If the bills are fairly new (since they are standing up fairly straight, I would say yes), that estimate is likely about right. Older the bills the more of a pain they are to bundle up and lay flat...

I really wanted her to BOMF him....

Mmmkay, I wanna commission Tatsuya to draw me Jesus, Satan, and the dragon having a three-way. If I give him enough money, like maybe ten bucks, I he'll totally do it...

Yeah......

Well you know, considering the fact that he's old enough to have gone to college and drink alcohol with Slick and Squig - no. It's probably not pedophilia.

I also disagree that he looks 3 or 4. He looks like a teenager, but not like a toddler.

I was always under the impression that Slick, Squig, and Crim were all college age+ (around their 20s)

There are certain things you have to ignore completely in order to enjoy Sinfest. The characters ages are one, economics are another.

Pretty much. They're as old as they need to be, and as young as they want to be. Their ages are undefinable because they don't matter in the setting - but you're also free to interpret their ages as you wish. But for convenience sake it's probably easier to assume that everyone is an adult than to assume that anyone is a child.

In regards to ages all you need to know is that;
* Slick, Crim and Squig have gone to college - based on the college run of sinfest - so they're at least 18
* Seymour was either also in college or in highschool while they were in college - to me it felt like the latter but I now realize it could have been the former
* The site itself once mentioned that Nique was 16 - according to Ronald - and she mentions herself in the comic once that she is a teenager
* Xanthe once rode a legitimate motorcycle which you have to be at least between the ages of 16-18 to ride - depending on which state you're in
* Blue is old enough to have supposed to graduated high school
* Li'l E is old enough to be employed so he's at least 14-16

And several users in the forum, as well.

stripeypants: MAN I forgot to reply to you:

Yeah, she's not obligated to paint for him. I'm just saying that he could just go to another artist that's more compliant to draw the pictures he wants.

Good that you pointed out the size thing, though. Hadn't taken it in mind.

If I recall correctly: when the site provided the characters' ages they were listed as a being in a range, which I assume was to provide more options and flexibility for storytelling.

It would b good or him to go elsewhere, especially since he does have money. I would love to see him find an artist who shares his feelings about Jesus, or whos okay with it. That might be sweet/entertaining to read. If he found one who was willing to do it but was very judgey about it, moght help him grow.

At any rate, more Jesus on a pony!
