*Shrug* Alright,I'll do it.

This one pretty much speaks for itself. Though the way Sam's been acting for the past few YEARS it's a wonder he isn't a permanent fixture on the couch.

I was about to say, I can't decide whether that symbol is a penis, a missile, or the capitol building.

I suppose it could quite appropriately be all three,

Clever Tat. Using layered symbolism. You sly dog, you.

Liberty looks like a manga character.

I took it for granted that the symbol was a missile because that symbol has been associated with Sam for quite some time.

What an idiot. What kind of self-absorbed douchebag doesn't find out his/her partner's preferences on porn before trying to get them to jump in head first?

I don't think there's any excuse for this one.

Protip: Unless your wife comes to you with porn, it is safe to believe that she will NOT want to see your porn at all.

Though really, is there ANY damn porn in the sinfest universe that doesn't have abuse in it? pretty Sure that was a pain scream at the end, not an orgasmic one...

Douchebag mode on: Of course there is, its the one where the male is taking it up the ass by the women with a strapon. Douchebag Mode Off.

Femdom, while it does reproduce problematic violent narratives, does not contribute to an overall cultural context of violence and abuse towards men. Ergo femdom is at least somewhat more acceptable than mendom. (Is that the word?) Er, it could also reproduce problematic racial narratives but here I'm assuming that the participants are of the same race.

Yay femdom!

Themes of abuse or degradation/humiliation towards women are fairly depressingly common in popular, mainstream heterosexual porn, and super common in Hentai if that's your schtick. Even in cases where the sex itself is relatively vanilla, there's often a framing (blackmail, promised paid work and then dumped out of a van naked afterwards) that sets up how the sex is harming the woman or how she has been debased by the sex.

Finding stuff that's appreciably non-horrible generally requires specifically looking for not-problematic stuff, and that fact in and of itself is problematic.

Hey, I'm a big fan of Mandom, (and no, that is not the term, but it made me laugh) but I only do it with consenting females (and the ocasional male). You see, I have very strong feelings against abuse, but I get the feeling that the BDSM community gets thrown in the proverbial 'abuse culture heap' every time the subject comes up and that makes me sad.

I'm kind of torn on that subject tbh. On the one hand the BDSM community has it's own, internal problems that need to be addressed, internally, but on the other hand, I'm super leery of outside discussion about "problems with the BDSM community" because you're totally right that it's basically impossible to have a nuanced discussion about anything BDSM withing "mainstream" culture because negative kneejerk reaction that it tends to automatically get. I mean, the mainstream culture basically thinks the problem with BDSM is BDSM. And other than being wrong, that just...super unhelpful.
