It still doesn't feel quite right though. Kcils seems too. . . independent of Slick, with his set of physics and mechanics to how he works. Also, it seems a bit too subtle for Tat's style, so I might be probably maybe overthinking it.

...You are asking for consistent mechanics in Sinfest.

Don't do that, you'll be so much happier.

Why am I reminded of the Dead Moon Circus and their remless minions?

You know, as much as it bugs me, in the context of the strip:

Are there any actual male allies in the comic?

Crim *might* be (he seems like he would be), but he hasn't really done anything for the movement itself. He is, at best a bystander.

I admit I'm sort of excluding pseudo-self-insert Tats because... well, because Meta gets really confusion.

I find it odd that you're the only person who addressed the topic of the strip instead of wondering whether Xanthe can see Sleaze.

An interesting theory that could have some substance to it, but isn't it kind of contrary to the actual events that lead to Sleaze's creation?

Well, since we're really not at all sure what the heck happened there, no.

Maybe The Devil sent Mint to do whatever it is she did.

Now, over a year after her first appearance, it seems unlikely that she's what I originally thought she might be, a Devil Girl who doesn't work for The Devil. Oh well.

The implication is that Gay Guy is an ally. He's fighting the sexist/homophobic Patriarchy, same as the Resistance.

Miss Magenta: It's ambiguous as to whether or not Curly saw Sleaze. She sprayed him because he was about to vomf (vomf?) her or her stand so presumably she saw that. But maybe she saw something else like Slick starting to physically attack her.

Have we even seen Mint since then? Maybe she's living with Cinnamon somewhere.

Ah, but just because you have simillar foes does not mean you're allies.

After all, that would imply that *all* feminists are, for instance, allies of trans folks (since both are somewhat oppressed by gender norms).

... This is sadly not the case.

As such, again, I'm not sure there *are* any allies in the comic so far. That actually bugs me a bit, but I'm sure it will be resolved/dealt with (since it's, you know, being brought up, and Granny seems to feel such things can/do exist. And she's awesome.)

Well yeah. He clearly has his own agendas, but there he is, knitting with Nana. And she likes what he's doing.

He knows what's up. Smile

No, not everyone that falls outside the gender binary need be an ally of the Resistance. But Gay Guy is, in his own way. Smile

No, I've been watching for her.

Which one is "Cinnamon"?

Do we know for sure that Slick actually "sold his soul" to the D-man? Is that an event that actually happened, or did he just get bomfed?

The very first strip ever is him visiting the sell your soul booth. I think there has been other contractual stuff sibce then.

This one time the contract came into effect, but Slick used the 'Get out of Hell Free' card. So yeah, he did sell his soul, at the end of the day.

And put rather a lot of effort into it. "Negotiations" took forever.

I don't remember the outcome, but I don't think Slick is clever enough to defeat D-man on D-man's terms. The only way to win there is to get outside help.
