Just out of curiosity Ennis, do you intend to visit the other subforums?

Expand your horizons yo'

I mean, if the forums as a whole was a 4 dish meal, the Forum Guidelines subforum is a light salad, the Comics subforum is an overdone steak with too much gristle, the General Discussion subforum is a perfectly done top sirloin, and the Casual Chat is a nice light chocolate mousse to top it all off.

I like the controversy that goes on here and discussion of the comic. Do other people regularly post in the other forums?

Ennis is a lumberjack. Ennis likes tough steak.

Actually I have no idea whether Ennis is a lumberjack or not.

I'm going to assume Ennis is a lumberjack because that would be cool.

Botch, you make the mistake a lot of people make. "If I just couch my words in civil, 'elegant' terminology, people will listen and respond in kind." But that elegance really isn't elegant, and we can see through the veneer to the tedious, repeated argument below the surface.

Something that'srude: Going into a piano shop and playing FŁr Elise. Guess what everyone plays when they come into a piano shop? Gess how many times the owners and employees have had to hear that song? Do you really think it would make a difference if the notes were very well played?

Nope. It's as grating as grating can be, because it's the same damn song over and over and over.

Interesting analogy. But the shop-owner wouldn't abuse the customer. And no one here owns the shop anyway.

I am basically the opposite of a lumberjack. I barely go outside and have very little upper body strength.

Are lumberjacks even things anymore? Don't we have machines for that?

Generally. There's a 200-and-something page long thread on Feminism, another on MRAs, general news threads, threads on just about everything. You miss out on a lot of the regulars if you stick to the comics subforum, as quite of a few avoid it like the plague. Some only wade in if the stupidity level gets too high and someone needs to be refuted.

The Casual Chat is pretty chill too, and generally filled with interesting things like video games and puppies and stuff.

Edit: As a Canadian, I feel it is my duty to let you know that yes, lumberjacks are still a thing. They're more likely to use a chainsaw than an ax nowadays, but they still exist. Some forested areas are too dense to get the machines in to do logging.

I think you're lying. I think you are a lumberjack.

But you're hiding it because you're a secret lumberjack.

You're secret agent lumberjack spy and you do cool poses in flannel suits and you infiltrate things and eat cornbread.

You're just pretending not to be a lumberjack because you don't want us to know.

DUN NUH NUH

ENNIS THE SECRET LUMBERJACK
CARRYING AN AXE AND A PERSONAL JETPACK
CORNBREAD, AND A MARTINI IF YOU PLEASE
CHOPPING DOWN AND REPLANTING THE TREES

IT'S ENNIS

THE SECRET AGENT LUMBERJACK SPYYYYYYY

DU NUUUUUUH

It is fitting your name rhymes with penis because in very short time you seem to have shoved everyone's dick in your ear. What an awful little toadie.

Are you talking about me? My name just sounds like Dennis without the D.
And I suppose if you are talking about me then I really have been initiated!

... and choose your friends wisely. Friendly is good, Ennis, kissing ass not so much. You're not an anthropologist on Mars, and we're not martians (with forgiveness from Oliver Sacks).

Yeah, I didn't mean it to come off that way, I was just excited to finally be here. I guess I can see how it could have looked a bit off-putting. I'll just be interacting as normal from now on, replying to things and commenting on the comic content and whatnot.

Otherwise you're going to have to change your av to Theo from the comic.
