No, I'm pretty sure it's fibromyalgia doing this. Maybe the H1N1 virus.

No, it's obviously a case of gonosyphylherpelitis.

Oh my god, Rune. Well done! The lighting especially is just gorgeous, I love how the fire affects the lighting on her hand and face especially.

Thank you muchly. Tricks learned from painting glow effects on miniatures. Smile I love that there's carry-over between that and this.

This is one of my favorite character drawings, so Ima share it. It was a lot of fun to put together. Yay for wily old ladies.

I love the expression, and the gnarly toenails are a nice touch. As someone who tends to play druids/shaman types whenever possible, I highly approve.

As a player of the Circle Oboros, I approve of your druidy approval.

HOW TO PON:

THE REFERENCE IMAGE IS COMPLETELY RELEVANT

EDIT: and the finished product, many hours of painting later:

More pro art tips:

* Find the shortcuts for view inversion in your painting program. Tell yourself you're going to use them to get a fresh view on things and maybe improve the piece, but then spend the better part of an hour repeatedly mashing them to make like the character you're painting look like they're dancing.

So apparently I still really like that silly fanfiction I wrote a while back and I started illustrating parts of it...

Whenever I'm submitting something I've drawn to a deviantArt group I feel like I'm shouting into a gigantic room full of people, "HEY! HEY YOU! LOOK AT THIS THING I MADE, ISN'T IT GREAT? LOOK AT IT!!! LOOK. HAVE YOU SEEN THIS YET?"
and most of them are shouting the same thing

and then somewhere between dozens and thousands of them actually do look and they're not even mad about it
