|A friend of mine who suffers from Lupus, Axial Spondyloarthritis, and POTS, posted about this on her facebook and it had me all sorts of teary eyed ( I know, me, right?)
Here's the main site: http://invisibleillnessweek.com/
and here's the "30 Things About My Invisible Illness You May Not Know" meme link
Here's just the first bit she shared (and told us to reshare)
|1. The illness I live with is: Lupus, Axial Spondyloarthritis, POTS
2. I was diagnosed with it in the year: full diagnosis 2014
3. But I had symptoms since: 2002
4. The biggest adjustment Iíve had to make is: losing my social life & a lot of friends
5. Most people assume: I'm ok
And it gets heavier from there. This is someone I used to hang out with regularly once upon a time, meet up with at punk and ska shows and mosh and dance with. She was a bundle of pure energy and happiness, the kind of person that brightened a room just by being there and had essentially no enemies. Probably some of the most heart wrenching stuff she's posted has to do with what she can no longer do with her daughter (who's now 5) and what she may never be able to do.
I'm not asking or suggest that anyone share their own stuff here, but perhaps just spread the word.
