CONTINUATION

Hmm Xanthe is a little vague, but perhaps for a good reason. If she had to hold his hand, he wouldn't be able to actually understand how to be a good ally.

Not to mention he's called himself an ally several times just for cookies. She's got good reason not to trust him.

Yay! This comic makes me happy. Though I would have liked some interaction with Slick and Nana (which we might still get at some point) I'm really happy Slick is trying to be sincere. Hugs for Slick! I'm happy Xanthe didn't attack him and gave him advice. Hugs for Xanthe! Yay!

Sundays strip could either be awesome or bitterly disappointing. Fingers crossed for the former.

What, you think Slick's going to make that much progress this soon? We have months if not years of waiting to do before he works this out and deals with his issues, at the rate these things go. Assuming any potential character growth doesn't just get thrown out and he goes back to just being ordinary Slick because Tat feels like beating down some more on how worthless men are.

Your kidding right? We've already taken months and years to get to this point. I have no objection with Tat doing a long running theme on sexism, but this eventually has to go somewhere right? We need some sort of final payoff and the start of a brand new theme.

So I'm really really hoping tomorrow will be a major turning point in the story and that we finally get some major character development.

More likely Sunday will have nothing to do with this. Tatsuya doesn't really do linear.

True, but the timing of today's strip is an interesting coincidence and seems like the perfect setup. I have my money on tomorrow's strip dealing with either Slick's development or Squig's experiences in Hell. Tats likes to do Hell strips on a Sunday.

How many years has it been since the feminism angle started? Is it, like, five? I think?

That's about right for a real change to a character on Tat's usual timeline.

I actually think it was 2012-01-02...

I think tomorrow's comic will be something Lil'E related... Although we've been missing out on Monique and the stripper devil in a while. Hmm, we'll see.

luckily, the third arm is constantly on his crotch, although this means he can't be kicked in the nuts

The third arm is a way to show multiple actions at once, even though they aren't happening at the same time. I think sometimes it's a bit more confusing when he does it because he doesn't use speed lines or something.

It wasn't JUST for cookies, he genuinely believed he was being an ally. Of course, he expected to be rewarded with cookies instead of doing it just because it's right (which ruins everything), but still.
