I'm sure that the Sisterhood will be along soon to lecture Fuschia about how she shouldn't be crually exploiting Crim for her own needs.

Any minute now.

Any...minute...now.

I'm pretty sure that this won't happen because Fuchsia is a nice person who cares about Crimney and will apologise and ask him to rest, now that she knows he's tired, before the sistherhood has time to notice the event and come to lecture her on anything.

Have we seen reality zone crim? If not the painting looks like a possible version we could see for reality zone crim.

The painting also looks like he is holding slick's glasses.

Yeah, we've seen it a few times.
Here for example.
Here, too.
There's also the strip where he wanders into the Reality Zone and Fuschia and Tomey are standing outside and he realises they can't follow... Can't remember what that one was called.

His glasses do look quite Slick-ish in the Reality Zone.

This isn't exploiting Crim.

this is crim "Not speaking up" (quiet guy!), and Fushcia being so absorbed in her art she hasn't realized how much time has passed.

To even try and draw a parallel between, say, objectification in pornography/Max Headroom (no wait is that the right name? The.. really.. horrible porn guy?)/etc, is just...
..I

... what.

Man. I totally burned myself with a firecracker last fourth of July.

NOW I KNOW WHAT HIROSHIMA SURVIVORS FELT LIKE.

Maybe tricksterson needs to help Crim stretch, since he's just so very good at it.

They're outside.

There's a big ol' sun-clock in the sky.

Crim is also smart and well read enough that it's not unbelievable that he knows how many hours of daylight there are for his location and time of year, and figuring/guesstimating 10 hours after using up all the working light from dusk to dawn could be pretty dang accurate.

There are some reasonable possibilities to explain Fuschia having Crim model for ten hours.
1. She may not have worked with a live model before, and thus isn't aware of how often they usually work or take breaks.
2. At her former job she worked long, long hours standing in high heels. Her tolerance for such things may make her underestimate how long other people can deal - and since Crim is only laying down, she might think he could last longer.
3. Since Crim means a lot to her, she may have been hit by perfectionism, and thus spent way longer than intended trying to get every detail perfect.
4. She could have just gotten lost in her art.

I wish everyone knew that it was such hard work. Then maybe they'd value it more... </artistwhine>

It can be hard work, depends on what you're doing. I think the hardest work of all is doing something to get the money so you can get by, so that hopefully later you can do the art you really care about.

I used to spend 3 hours on sketching a model and my drawing was nowhere done. Trying to put something down realistically can take ages.
