Today I learnt that breaking the forum let's you post in what appears to be size 14 Helvetica (Or is it Arial?)

(Further discoveries: interleaving the other way doesn't break it. Quoting doesn't usually seem to have any effect, but see below.)

It's "some sans-serif font" -- specifically, Verdana (if you have it, otherwise Arial (if you have it, otherwise Helvetica (if you have it, otherwise whatever sans-serif font you have))).

And it's font size is whatever your browser's default font size is. What's happening is it's getting left out of the <span class="postbody"> tags, and so doesn't get the standard post formatting.

Also, regarding quoting it:
This is an unclosed bold tag...
Quote:
Quote:
Inside is bold?[b]
Outside before the close bold tag...Tes/xt

Outer bold tag closed[/b] here.

Shoot, I don't understand it at all...
Code:
[b]This is an unclosed bold tag...
[quote][quote]Inside is bold?[b][/quote]Outside before the close bold tag...[/b]Tes/xt[/quote]
Outer bold tag closed[/b] here.

Today I learned Ketchup is a non-Newtonian fluid, and the best way to get Heins ketchup out of a glass jar is to hit near the mouth, not the bottom of the bottle. (Actually I find sticking a knife and pulling it out to be even more effective.)

wish I'd known this before have wide access to squeeze bottles.

You're actually supposed to tap the bottle on the "57" on the neck. Not the one on the printed label, but the one molded into the glass of the bottle.

I (also) learned today that the speed at which ketchup pours from a glass bottle is 0.0450 km/hr, which is also the approximate speed of a garden snail.

The escalator was invented as an amusement park ride. People really used to know how to have a good time.

Just standing on it, or running up the down?
Or racing slinkies?

Happier than a slinky on an escalator

Now I gotta know if a slinky is faster than an escalator.

I've never actually tried a slinky-on-an-escalator, but just thinking about it I'm pretty sure the slinky is faster.
That said, the speed of the escalator probably doesn't affect the speed of the slinky that much, so you could probably adjust it until they're the same, if you had access to the controls...

I found a video of a slinky on a treadmill that's 3:21 of actual slinky-on-treadmill action.

It looks like it depends on the size of your slinky (doesn't it always? *sigh*).

... The internet is a deranged and wonderful place.

(I would read a book for comfort right now, but I'm in the middle of the Ox books, so it wouldn't be that different.)
