Is it just me or does the devil look kind of different? Maybe we just haven't seen him as much with the art style shift, idk. It sounds weird, but he doesn't look as evil to me as he did before. He just looks like a person with horns.

That last panel tho. Look Big D, you're actually producing your own sparkles now, the least you could do is accept Lily wanting to have angel glitter.

Looks less evil? To me, he looks more intimidating than ever.
About the sparkling, he's done that before.

I'm usually disappointed when "pure evil" characters show care and compassion to anyone or anything, or even have a special someone. Ruins every story.
However, the sinfest devil is more or less consistently portrayed as the unruly child that's been attributed "pure evil" thing by its creator. It's the "or less" part that still leaves me a bit worried about his future character development.

He looks more like how Tat drew him when he was changing diapers, so maybe the association with good comes from that?

I think the art style is still slowly shifting, part of that being a small but significant difference in how character's are drawn depending on the mood of the strip.

I also have to laugh, because this sort of thing basically just happened, though a little indirectly, with the Fluttershy analog character in "Magick Chicks."

After ten seconds' more scrutiny, I think the biggest visual difference comes from the fact that he's looking down, so we actually see lots of white above his irises.

This is probably the ponyest strip Tat has ever produced. Before, it seemed like he never really watched the show, since all he ever really referenced was the characters names and the theme song, things most people know of even if they don't watch it. With this one, I would say that he, at least, watched the first couple episodes to know about Nightmare Moon and Equestria.

I saw this ancient gangster horror-show on tv. It was called "Dennis the menace". Whenever old man Mr. Wilson didn't pay for "insurance", something bad would always happen to him. The worst part was that if Mr.Wilson ever tried to fight back with resistance to this wicked criminal: the crooked cops, black widows and even local clergy-men would scold him for trying to think for himself and rain down upon him like blood.
