So it sounds like I'm going to be traveling this summer with my parents (don't laugh, they're cool I swear) and I wouldn't mind meeting up with people?

I know there's at least three of you in the Washington area that I'd like to meet (or see again). We've also talked about hitting up Oregon and Northern California. Anyone interested?

No dates set yet, we've still got some room to work with on that front, but it'd be after May.

I'm Portland now, so if you come up this way I'll make time to visit with you. If you want. Also, if timing works out, maybe we could go up to see Patty, or maybe she could come down here.

I'd love to meet up! Smile I will get you a potato burrito, as promised. If you came by on a Thursday, you could hang with my awesome art group too.

Potato burritos are totally worth driving to Bellingham for. I do it about eight times a year. Everyone thinks I come back to visit friends, but really it's the Casa Que Pasa potato burritos.

Yessss. I definitely want to harass Patty and I'm 100% down with potato burritos and art groups. (Though fair warning, I sometimes panic in medium sized groups of people I don't know?)

Are there any dates that absolutely do not work that we can avoid?

I'm going to have a really shitty schedule. I'll be working 12-hour shifts in the hospital several days a week, plus who knows what else. So, early June would be best for me (before summer quarter)... otherwise, I'll just have to see what I can do.

I could totally be convinced to do a portland meetup. At the right time I could maybe even arrange cheap mcmenamins hotel stays for people if i'm still with the company.

Sadly I'm heading to Wisconsin in a couple weeks and won't be back in Oregon until September.

No worries, the group is very anxiety friendly, and we could always do something else.

I don't have anything coming up that I know of. There may be a trip to Colorado in my future, but probably in summer.

Mmm okay, so I gather Seattle and Portland are about 3 hours away from each other?

Hmmmmmm, okay, I'll see what's up and get back to you guys.

There's a pretty solid regular rail line that runs from eugene to seattle through portland, if you're there at the right time you can get buy one get one fares.

It's 2 hrs and 44 min, according to Google.

The Bolt Bus travels from Portland - Seattle - Bellingham - Vancouver. Their rates are cheap, and they have wifi on while the bus is moving. I went from Bellingham to Portland on one, and besides not being able to stop and stretch as often as I liked, it was pretty good.

I do plan on going back to Illinois for the second half of June but otherwise my schedule is open. If I'm able to get my car worked on by then, I am willing to carpool to Portland, otherwise I'll have to take the bus. But really, you should check out both Seattle and Portland if possible! Either way, I'll be there.
