Watch. If you continue talking to him by tomorrow or the next day the entire thread will be about him, and all of the good conversation will get chased out. Just don't. |
You act as if I don't immensely enjoy it when people try to ignore me, it gives me free reign to say whatever I want.
Besides, if Samsally had an issue with my posts, I'm sure she would have told me to get out of her thread a while ago.
Look Dogen, I get it if Vegas isn't your thing, but are you really that jealous of my cursed ability to get unwanted attention thrown at me? |

When a person becomes a dick to others entirely because a traumatic incident jaded their entire view of life and they feel they must put others down to feel the tiniest amount of happiness anymore, yea you have to call them out on it.
I'm sure that when he grows up we can be friendly towards each other.

We get along with each other fine.
You're the one we don't get along with, and at this point no amount of what you want is going to change that.
I do like how you deflected any responsibility for that incredibly douche move though. _________________

Yknow you're right. I'ma pass on any meetup thanks, truthfully i've watched more people play apologist for folks like feit and kry and bunbun and thy being douchebags to the genuinely nice posters we've had over the past decade than I've seen folks stand up for them and I'm pretty sure that there's some better places I could be spending my internet time at this point, because now every time I log in here I'm just becoming more and more embittered. _________________

.... i can't believe that gary, of all people, would be the one to drive you off sinfest.
really, the only one of those left is thy, and everyone either seems to try to argue with him or treat him as a joke...none of which is terribly apologist. _________________ aka: neverscared!

Well.
This was really not the direction I had hoped this thread would go. God, this is the part where I wail and gnash my teeth because I'm so awful at confrontation.
Thy: Please do not fight in this thread. I know it's hard to step away, but I'd really like for this meet up to actually happen. I don't think Vegas is in the cards this time, though, I'm sorry. I really do have some interesting anxiety quirks, and I know for a fact that casinos set most of them off.
Gary: Dick move, man. What the fuck.
HR: I'm not sure how I feel about being compared to kicking a nicotine habit?... Confused, I think. Definitely confused. I don't really want to force anyone into meeting me, though. So, y'know. Rock on with your asocial self.
Yorick: Sorry we picked the wrong Portland! I feel kinda bad I didn't even know there was another one. We actually talked about doing Niagara Falls a bit but that fell through. It's not that close, but I guess it's a lot closer than Oregon.
Mouse: Would you be trying to hit the meetup? It occurs to me I have no idea where you live.
Everyone talking about potato burritos that can't make the meet: I'll be sure to tell you all how amazing they are. In excruciating detail. Because I care. _________________ Samsally the GrayAce |

I have no real connection to this thread at all seeing as I live half a world away, but I would just like to say I think the forum would be a worse-off place if Monkey left. |

I pretty much just lurk now a days and I know your right Ennis. And for the people that aren't sure whether or not a meet up is for you I would like to encourage you to give it a go. I've been lucky enough to be able to make it to several of them and have never had anything less then an amazing time. It's really fun to put faces to the screen names that we are familiar with. All of the festers that I've met have been super interesting people too. All of them, with no exceptions. Even feit who gets a bad rap and who's online persona can (could?) chafe at times (but to be honest I think he's just doing it for the lols) was a lot of fun to hang out with when i met him.
Also, I wish that Portland was viable for me, I think it would be nice to catch up with a few of you guys and to meet some new faces. =) Honestly the meet up threads and meet ups have always been my favorite bit of being a part of this community. As an aside, the euro one that you guys had a couple (?) years ago was wildly entertaining even from the outside (so it must have been a complete riot for those of you that were there). |

So, I love Monkey like a dysfunctional brother. He's the George to my Lennie, stroking soft, furry rabbits. The Lenny to my Carl (it reminds me of my Icelandic childhood).
However, it seems almost criminal that I've never met Samsally after all this time. So we should totally make this thing happen. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth.
