I didn't know you could buy pre-paid ATM cards. It's like a money bug in a video game, only it's IRL. Seriously, this is too, too funny. I wonder how many hackers lived off this before it broke big and for how long. This seems to be too huge of a security breach for only one person to have figured out.

i heard about that yesterday. and then i learned how to hack into coke machines and reprogram the prices for soda. but the newer ones are locked down and only tell me how much money is inside the machine, they wouldn't give me any.

that guy's scheme was fucking clever, though.

i've actually seen at least 2 of these machines in my area. heh. it'd be easy-peasy to give it a whack, i just don't see the point. if i took the machine for a few hundred bucks, some maintenance shlub working for minimum wage would probably get canned. granted, he should have changed the passwords to begin with, but he shouldn't lose his job because some opportunistic thief, and that's what we're talking about here is stealing, came along and had his way with a keypad.
