shooting the glasses wont do any good while he's still wearing them. they're just GLASSES. you shoot them while he's wearing them, well, not only will he have a bullet through his head but he'll have glass shards impaling his face too.

I am glad that this is being continued... I'm guessing this is going to go on until the sunday strip that has some resolution to this or goes somewhere else for a moment...

those glasses are evil though.. but yeah... getting them off of his face and then shooting them sounds like a better idea.

I'm not in the camp that wants him removed... I just want him to make a positive change in character... and keep it.

+1 for shooting off the glasses. No more glasses, plus Slicky gets a nice lil near-death experience for character-development fodder.

That's how you fix people, right? Put the fear of death in 'em?

(But seriously if he goes another arc without learning a thing I'm going to tear my hair out)

Man, he used to be smarter than this. Getting rid of the glasses is a step, at least. Pull the trigger!

...Oh, do we need him alive?

I know some might say it's not Sinfest if Slick isn't an idiot, but honestly there are plenty of people who'd have said the same about Monique being a shallow tramp. It's true that she was a little more open from the beginning about changing who she was for the better, but it did start out from her own selfish and image-driven impulses. So it's not actually completely impossible for him to permanently and dramatically change as she did. I don't think he will, he doesn't take much interest in the world outside his own self-serving needs, but it's certainly not necessarily impossible because of storyline status quo or a lack of any positive traits.

Random thought -- maybe Slick is a character akin to Faust? The very first strip is about him selling his soul to the devil after all. Redemption always just a bit out of Faust's reach and every step he makes closer to it, he winds up making five more towards his own tragic and total corruption.

I'm all for those glasses being destroyed but I wonder what the story purpose was for giving Slick money o' vision to begin with was. What's that supposed to even represent in his storyline? Even if it's just a feminism thing, what does it say beyond "the patriarchy trains you to objectify people!" ?
And my response is "yeah... ... and?" and Sinfest is like "and that's bad!". Okay, Sinfest, glad we're all on board with that. But it's not really stimulating analysis or discussion beyond "god, someone please get those glasses off him!".

PX has a different definition of "fix" than I do, since I don't recall anybody getting healed by getting their head blown off with a shotgun.

He's not doing anything, just standing there looking panicked.

"Let me fix you"

Four words that send me into an angry frenzy if anything.

But he could do a barrel roll into the back of her thus freeing Slick to run, run away!

The big question I was wondering is if Slick recognized her as the Fembot he took to the reality zone. I sorta took this comic as confirmation that hey he does, and he was really hoping to get her back by completely ignoring the situation by saying she's broken and checking out her pricetag. Sleaze glasses be damned! Is he actually going to say anything meaningful or just wait to be saved so he can continue being, uh... himself.

What Yinello said. PXsomethingsomething is dead right on this one. Slick is dead wrong. And possibly just dead, I can't see a way out of this for him without either a rescue, a distraction, or a major and immediate change in behaviour. The last possibly coming from the breaking of the glasses, so he gets a chance to actually see Rogue Fembot for who she is, and not as something he has some sort of ownership of or rights to...

Anyway, Yay for continuity of plot!
