Does Seymour have any enemies? O_o

I guess the Devil should count, but he's in hell already and not exactly burning

Lil'D - I'm not sure where we stand completely here. All is good in paradise for now, but if those memories comes back...

I always find it interesting how some religious people can talk about their desire for moving beyond this world, yet at the same time fixate on getting even with or proving wrong everyone who dared to second-guess them. That's like, almost inherently a worldly fixation.

Silly Seymour, thoughts like that are more likely to lead you into Hell with the rest of the sinners.

*Lil'E, and I highly doubt those memories are coming back any time soon, and even if they did it's unlikely he'd go back to being who he was.

I really don't know if Seymour HAS any real enemies anymore. People he condemns, yes, but ever since being hit with Cupid's arrow he doesn't seem to hate anyone enough to want to see them go to hell.

I was actually under the impression that it's possible that Lil' E actually got his memories back as early as when he checked his computer. Or possibly some time after. It'd be an interesting turn if he just chose not to think too much about them. In any case, the original little prick version of him clearly isn't ever coming back.

It almost kills me to say this after just being accused of starting fights in another thread, but this strip sort of directly contradicts your last there.

Watching "his enemies" burn in hell and with those eyes, Tat seems to be classifying the evangelical born again as having enemies of essentially everyone that isn't uplifted or raptured or whatever they call it. Seymour certainly doesn't look unhappy that those people are burning in agony.

I think this is a theoretical/rhetorical them. Like "THEY CALLED ME MAD! BUT I'LL SHOW THEM! I'LL SHOW THEM ALL!", without any actual them.

Like so.

Similarly, Seymour isn't thinking of any specific people -- just the idea of getting rewarded while the anonymous undeserving get punished.

Perhaps. But without going anywhere on that, this feels a bit like a "And now, Percy complains about his food" kind of strip after some actual plot continuity.
